I started loitering around vinyl vendors like Breakbeat Science and Throb in the late 90s when DJ culture was peaking in NYC. I got my feet wet deejaying drum and bass as dekker at Sin Sin in the East Village at Momentum (a party that I started with my DJ mentor and veteran Junglist, Carlos Darkstar). Around 2000, I started to notice a small community of visual artists who also were closet DJs, so I started a party called Spinart that happened sporadically at various venues. In 2007 I hosted a weekly party in Brooklyn at a club called Sputnik (see flyers below). My sets have moved away from jungle and Drum & Bass and now lean towards indie dance, electro and dubby techno (LCD Soundsystem, !!!, The Presets, Cut Copy, Datarock, Bookashade, etc.). My mixes have been posted on ABL Radio and I have been interviewed by David Humphrey for PS1s series "Sound and Vision." Sets can be downloaded below.
